Memoir

Camila Cabello Her Cuban Background

In this memoir Camila Cabello talks about her experience immigrating to the united states from Cuba, as a child with her mother. She writes about leaving her family and friends back in Cuba. She describes how she counted down the days that her dad would join them in Miami. She mentions how she auditioned for Xfactor in 9th grade with no experience singing in front of people. She learned from her mom that if you want something bad enough and work hard enough nothing is impossible.

I chose this memoir because Camila Cabello is my favorite artist. I think she’s an inspiration to a lot of people. I like how she literally came from Cuba with nothing and worked her way to the top.

Camila’s memoir connects to the experience of so many others. She is an immigrant a lot of people can relate to the experience of coming to a brand new country and completely starting over.
